TNO is an independant Research and Development organisation, founded by Dutch law in 1930. The Maritime and Offshore Department is focussing on Sustainability and Performance Enhancement for the maritime and offshore industry. This contains various aspects, such as energy systems and fuel savings, emissions to air and water including noise, life cycle analysis, offshore wind, safety and crew performance, reliability and operations, structural dynamics and material performance in the marine world.
Jobs carried out can vary from small consultancy tasks to complex B2B works or Joint Industry Projects as required. Most of the work carried out is multi-disciplinary, combining the skills and experience of various competences to obtain solutions for the most complex situations. Customers range from SME’s to large multinationals.
