Within Netherlands Maritime Technology, Marjan is responsible for:
- Participation in Trade activities such as Holland Pavilions, TERs & Trade Missions (incoming and outgoing)
- Market information in particular for Singapore / Malaysia / Thailand and Indonesia
I have been working at Netherlands Maritime Technology since 2005. It was my father, Henk Lacet, who helped me get this job and I have been grateful to him ever since. My work entails a lot of challenges and inspiration every day, and I enjoy giving it my all.
As a Trade Promotion Manager, I support Dutch maritime companies in their commercial activities in Asia. Furthermore, I help stimulate cooperation between Asia and the Netherlands, in particular by organising incoming & outbound trade missions as well as Holland Pavilions at the leading maritime exhibitions in Asia.
My training in hotel management has given me a strong advantage in this role. Organising participation in exhibitions and trade missions requires a lot of preparation, good planning and organisational skills. Asia is also a region which I personally love, so I feel like a fish in water and can give it my best. In my free time, I like to play golf, ski and travel.
In addition to my role as Trade Promotion Manager, I am the dedicated contact person (Member Advisor) for a number of members. I am also pleased to support members with any substantive questions or advocacy related to the sector or individual companies on a (regional, national, European and international level).
