My name is Vivian Garos. Recently, I graduated in Public Administration at the University of Twente, with the specialization in Regulation and Innovation (mainly looking at issues how public authorities can cope with advanced technologies for which no legislation exists yet). During my studies I have always been interested in European innovation projects and have also written my graduation thesis on this topic. Furthermore, during my Master education I followed an internship at the Ministry of Economic Affairs / RVO at the department of International Research and International Cooperation. I completed my Bachelor’s education in European Studies in Maastricht. During both my Bachelor’s and Master’s I have studied in Berlin, Lisbon and Bologna and have conducted an internship at a research institute in Istanbul.
Since April 1st, I am working as Project Innovation Support Officer at NMT, dealing with European as well as regional projects. In the coming period I will focus on the Horizon 2020 project RAMSSES and also on the Maritime Delta, Platform Schone Scheepvaart and the NISS Profile project competition.
I am motivated to commit myself to the maritime sector and I hope that I can make a positive contribution to the innovative power of our sector and members.
