Objective (& content)
During this technical course you will learn more about the principles of onboard noise and vibration and how to attenuate their effects through a hands on approach. The training covers four main topics:
• Shipboard noise control
• Shipboard vibration
• Basic principles of dynamics, vibration and shock
• Hydrodynamic excitation forces
Upon completion, participants will have a solid grasp of the underlying principles of noise and vibrations onboard ships and will be able to relate design calculations, onboard measurements, and experiments to industry standards.
