Training Onboard Fluid Distribution Systems

Training 27 September 2024 - 2 November 2023

The training Onboard Fluid Distribution Systems covers the main (technical) aspects of design and operation of marine auxiliary systems on board of ships. Sign up

Aim

The training offers a compact overview of fundamental working principles and the design aspects & considerations of most fluid distribution systems on board. The exercises will be done on the second day at the machinery systems simulator of Simwave in Barendrecht. The training will strengthen your competence in design and engineering of onboard fluid distribution systems and its main components.

Subjects

Main topics of this training include an overview of all relevant aspects of fluid distribution system design: functions, systems, components, layout of systems, pump and pipe flow system characteristics and their interaction. Participants are made aware of the cost implications of design choices, allowing them to make cost effective system designs. The training consists of lectures and practical exercises. During the second day exercises at the machinery system simulator facilities of Simwave will be done.

Target group

The training is intended for technical personnel who is involved in designing, engineering and maintaining onboard fluid distribution systems, or match and integrate these systems with other systems and ship design.
