Training Risk Management in Maritime Projects

Training 19 - 20 April 2023

Learn to recognize risks early in order to successfully execute a project from start to finish. Too often it happens that there is no response until the disruption has become an actual problem. Possible consequences: a project is not completed on time, exceeds the established budget or the established quality requirement are not realized. Sign up for the training course "Risk Management in Projects" and eliminate risks as much as possible from your maritime project. Sign up

Goal

Upon completion of the training you will be able to:

  • Using various techniques, identify and assess risks in a project
  • Cost-effectively determine measures to reduce risks
  • Raise risk awareness in the project organization and communicate about it
  • Perform simple risk analyses of projects
Topics

The following topics will be covered during the training:

  • Identification of project risks in contract phase, engineering phase, procurement phase and production phase
  • Assessment of project risks
  • What are risk scenarios?
  • What a pitfalls in a project?

The module then covers the three approaches as used within project risk management:

  1. The heuristic approach
This approach focuses on the identification of project risks based on the presence or absence of necessary preconditions and the measures to prevent project risks.
  2. The facilitated approach
This approach focuses on the identification of risks that may occur if project activities are performed or when certain decisions must be made.
  3. The root cause analysis
This approach focuses on the identification of root causes in already implemented projects in order to then prevent risks in similar projects.
