Sea Asia is recognized worldwide as the leading platform for the maritime industry to interact, explore business opportunities, hear the latest insights and find new products and services.
Past editions of Sea Asia consistently welcomed nearly 15,000 international participants from more than 70 countries/regions with more than 400 exhibitors.

Market information
The upcoming edition of SEA Asia will take place in Singapore. For 2023, they expect more than 10,000 visitors and more than 70 participating countries. Singapore is one of the global hubs for players within the maritime industry, and a gateway for the industry in the region.
In Singapore, repairs and conversions are carried out on oil and gas platforms, jack-up rigs and FPSOs, among others. It also repairs and maintains a large number of ships, such as tankers and LNG carriers. Other countries where there are also opportunities such as India, Indonesia, Vietnam are relatively close by.
The lion's share of all shipbuilding in Asia takes place in the East. In terms of Compensated Gross Tonnage (CGT), China accounts for most of the global order intake and deliveries in 2021 of commercial ocean-going vessels. Following China is South Korea and then Japan. Globally, container ships comprise the largest share of order books in terms of CGT, followed by gas tankers, bulk carriers, oil and chemical tankers, passenger ships and ferries, and the "other non-cargo" category.
Asia also tops the rankings in terms of repair and maintenance. China ranks No. 1 in this regard. 42% of reported repair events from early 2021 through August 2022 are attributable to yards located in China, according to Clarksons Research. Followed by Turkey (10%) and Singapore (3%).
In short, there is a lot of shipbuilding and ship repair taking place in Asia.
Cost
The cost per m2 for members of NMT and IRO is €995,- excluding VAT. Non-members pay €1095,- excl. VAT.
There is a minimum purchase of 9 m2 per company.
