DEEP BV AND WETSUS JOIN FORCES FOR INNOVATIVE WATER QUALITY MONITORING
Deep BV signed a participation agreement to become part of Wetsus’ research theme “Monitoring & Quality”. Within this research theme, Wetsus and their partners collaborate to develop cutting-edge technologies to enhance the monitoring of water quality. Deep adds extensive expertise in data processing and surveying to the partnership. With the participation of Deep BV, research at Wetsus on water quality monitoring will be further promoted and translated into new solutions, resulting in an improved understanding of our living environment.
Clean water is vital for both human well-being and environmental sustainability. With growing challenges to maintaining water quality and availability, the need for continuous and advanced monitoring solutions is more significant than ever. To capture the full spectrum of water conditions, integrating multiple sensor technologies and diverse data sources is essential.
Water quality is shaped by intricate chemical, biological, and physical interactions. While existing methods can measure certain parameters, a deeper understanding of the dynamic relationships between these factors is needed. Deep BV and Wetsus aim to create more effective monitoring systems by combining expertise in sensor development and data analytics.
Building upon prior breakthroughs in sensor technology and genomics, this initiative will address water quality across various sources, including drinking water, wastewater, and surface water.
By incorporating chemical, biological, and physical sensors alongside state-of-the-art data networks this collaboration will facilitate real-time and comprehensive water assessments without excessive cost or complexity. These innovations will allow for more efficient detection of contaminants and better management of water resources.
