We are excited to invite you to a series of exclusive webinars designed to explore the thriving port opportunities in Latin America. Organized by the Regional Business Development Team of the embassy network of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Latin America, with support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Holland House Colombia, these events will bring together key stakeholders from Central America, the Dominican Republic, and the Netherlands to foster valuable partnerships.

Pre-Repica 2024 Event: Connecting Central American, Dominican, and Dutch Companies

Join us for a special online event leading up to the 46th Congress of Central American and Caribbean Ports - REPICA 2024. This event offers a unique platform for companies from Central America, the Dominican Republic, and the Netherlands to connect, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration opportunities.

During the event, Central American and Dominican organizations will present their key challenges and the solutions they seek, while Dutch companies will showcase innovative solutions that address these needs. This exchange aims to familiarize the Dutch delegation with the specific requirements of Central American and Dominican entities, laying the groundwork for fruitful partnerships at REPICA 2024.

Exploring Business Opportunities in Latin American Ports: Puerto Antioquia (Colombia) and Puerto Barú (Panama)

In this webinar, representatives from two strategic logistics hubs—Puerto Antioquia in Colombia and Puerto Barú in Panama—will provide an in-depth overview of investment and development opportunities in these key ports.

  • Puerto Antioquia (Colombia): With an investment of USD $770 million, this project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. Located in the Turbo district of the Gulf of Urabá, the port will feature 1,330 meters of quay, 18 cranes, and the largest refrigerated freight terminal in the country.

  • Puerto Barú (Panama): This port project will enhance connectivity from western Panama to neighboring countries such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, and Ecuador. The development includes an 850-meter quay, an 11-meter draft, and a total area of 124 hectares, with an estimated investment of USD $200-250 million.

Following the presentations, there will be breakout sessions where you can engage directly with representatives from Puerto Antioquia and Puerto Barú.
