Innovative maritime solutions from JRC | Alphatron Marine are in the spotlight at the Europort exhibition 2023

AlphaBridge for deepsea shipping: environmentally friendly and efficient

One of our most striking innovations is the AlphaBridge for deepsea shipping, a modular bridge console concept made from lightweight aluminum and recycled ABS, which not only reduces weight but also highlights our commitment to sustainability. With all parts in stock, we significantly shorten delivery times and offer a do-it-yourself system that can be assembled on site, making it very suitable for retrofits. We also show the latest developments of AlphaMINDS, our software application that uses the OpenBridge standard. For example, the docking application that can automatically measure distances to shore, based on ENC map data and display camera images on a screen. But the flexible conning pages can also be adapted to any type of ship and thus used on new construction and existing ships. With the latest JRC radar function 'Safety Zone Viewer' the radar screen indicates which zone on the route provides the safest situation with other ships. Alphatron Marine has a whole range of solutions for Ships Motion Control, from the new adaptive MFS autopilot, which is ideal for coastal shipping, to the MFM pilot including Track Control mode for deepsea shipping. We are also celebrating 20 years of collaboration with Navis Engineering OY, with whom we have already delivered many DP systems during this period and jointly developed the DynaPilot. The DynaPilot is especially suitable for wind support vessels and work boats that prefer DP functionality.

AlphaBridge for yachts: innovative and visually attractive

The Netherlands has been among the absolute world leaders in the construction of new superyachts for many years, something to which Alphatron Marine is proud to contribute. Including the modular construction of our AlphaBridge in various versions, which is also widely embraced in this market. We have created a unique version especially for the Europort exhibition. As an example of our flexibility and creativity as a system integrator, we show an Anschütz INS system integrated with high-tech EBT foil panel with multifunctional workstations for radar, ECDIS, conning and further integration of various other systems. The screens are equipped with innovative brackets to give the whole a modern look.

Alphabridge for inland shipping: with supporting innovations

For inland navigation we present some highlights in our product range, including the JMR-611 river radar, the completely renewed AlphaRiverPilot-MFS and the AlphaRiverPilot-flex, which enables the operation of the TrackPilot via the MFS control panel. The new track pilot functionality provides extra support to the skipper and also helps save fuel, definitely worth a look.

Communication technologies

Our communications department presents LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite technology that makes very high data rates affordable, such as Starlink and Oneweb, and offers lower latency and better image resolution. We also show the BazePort solution, an extensive onboard infotainment system with integration of TV, radio, custom info-TV channels, Video on Demand (VoD), PA/GA mute, RSS Feed Reader, podcasts and an information portal for publishing your own content, such as safety videos. Now that there is extra much attention for fire on board, we are paying extra attention to the AlphaHeatDetectionSystem, which offers early detection options against fires caused by vehicles or cargo.
