SMST supplies mission equipment to world’s first fully electric CSOV
SMST has been awarded a contract by Armon Shipyards for the delivery of a gangway (Telescopic Access Bridge L1) with automation package and 10t Motion Compensated Crane to the new, innovative electric Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (eCSOV) of Bibby Marine. This world’s first fully electric offshore vessel is designed with a powerful battery system allowing full day operations solely on battery power. The SMST mission equipment fits seamlessly with the sustainable principles of the cutting-edge vessel by reducing emissions and enhancing operational efficiency.
On board of the eCSOV the Telescopic Access Bridge L-Series with automation features will ensure safe and efficient personnel transfers, while SMST’s Motion Compensated Crane L Series ensures excellent lifting operations in dynamic offshore conditions. Spanish shipyard Armon chose SMST for the delivery of the W2W and lifting equipment to the newbuild electric CSOV.
