Royal Van der Leun breidt haar internationale activiteiten verder uit met de oprichting van Van der Leun Germany GmbH. De Duitse onderneming is per 1 juli 2026 officieel opgericht en vormt een belangrijke volgende stap in de internationale groei van Royal Van der Leun. Met een eigen vestiging in Duitsland kan de organisatie dichter bij haar klanten opereren en haar activiteiten in de regio verder uitbreiden.

Leonhardt & Blumberg equips first of four newbuilds with Econowind VentoFoils

German shipowner Leonhardt & Blumberg has equipped HANSA DREJOE with Econowind VentoFoils. The vessel is the first of four general cargo newbuilds to receive wind propulsion technology. This reflects Leonhardt & Blumberg’s practical approach to reducing fuel consumption and emissions while gaining experience with wind-assisted ship propulsion.

Europese Commissie bezoekt Nederlandse maritieme en offshore maakindustrie

Deputy Director-General Valere Moutarlier (DG GROW) bracht op 5 augustus een werkbezoek aan ons lid Sif Group op de Tweede Maasvlakte. Tijdens dit bezoek gaven GustoMSC & Sif een presentatie en gingen ze in gesprek met de Europese Commissie over de toekomst van de Europese industriële basis voor de maritieme en offshore sector.

ABB to power Allseas’ heavy transport vessel for offshore wind industry

ABB has secured a contract with Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) to deliver an integrated power and propulsion package to semi-submersible heavy transport vessel (HTV) Grand Tour. The 230-meter long vessel has been ordered by global offshore contractor Allseas and will provide a key link in the logistics chain supporting Europe’s offshore wind energy industry.

Metalkol completes technical acceptance of customised Damen CSD500

At the Damen Dredging yard in the Netherlands, representatives of Metalkol have successfully completed the technical inspection of their newly acquired Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) 500. Following extensive inspections and testing, the customised CSD was approved for delivery. It will be transported to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where it will be deployed in a mining operation.

Feadship Resale has successfully completed the sale of the 33.50-metre Graycliffs (ex-Moon Sand Too) to an American owner. The yacht was offered through a Joint Central Listing by Feadship Resale and Edmiston, with buyer and seller brought together by Hannah Wolstenholme, who represented the buyer throughout the transaction.

Damen delivers CF 3850 CF Anja to Juru Agentura Forsa

On 3 August, Damen Shipyards Group delivered a Combi Freighter (CF) 3850 to Lithuania-based Juru Agentura Forsa. The handover of the vessel, named CF Anja, took place during a ceremony attended by Director Antanas Anilionis and Technical Superintendent Pavel Kirzhner on behalf of Forsa, and Sales Manager Koert Slobbe on behalf of Damen.

Fugro awarded three-year deepwater ROV contract supporting offshore energy development in India

Vantage International Management Company has awarded Fugro Survey India Pvt. Ltd. a three year contract to provide ROV based deepwater drill support services for ONGC’s offshore drilling operations in India. Under the contract, Fugro will support drilling and completion activities in water depths of up to 3,000 metres on board Vantage’s Platinum Explorer drill ship. The work forms part of ONGC’s deepwater exploration programme, aimed at unlocking new offshore energy reserves, strengthening India’s energy security and supporting long-term domestic oil and gas production.
