US Army Corps of Engineers awards Fugro five‑year contract for critical infrastructure mapping
Fugro has secured a new five‑year indefinite‑delivery, indefinite‑quantity (IDIQ) contract from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to provide surveying and mapping services supporting civil works and military infrastructure programmes across the US and overseas. The contract underpins USACE’s management of critical waterways, flood‑risk systems and military facilities, enabling timely, high‑quality geospatial data to inform infrastructure planning, risk management and operational readiness in complex and demanding environments.
EST-Floattech battery system powers hybrid propulsion on newbuild cruise vessel Amadeus Aurea
EST-Floattech, Dutch supplier of maritime battery systems, announces the successful integration of its Octopus Series battery system on board the newly built inland cruise vessel Amadeus Aurea. The vessel has been completed at TeamCo Shipyard in Heusden and has entered service in April 2026.
Damen starts repair activities in Dakar
Damen Shipyards Group and the Senegalese Government have formed a joint venture (JV) to operate Damen Shiprepair Dakar on the West African coast. The Senegalese Government is represented by the Société des Infrastructures de Réparation Navale (SIRN). Together, they will offer a comprehensive range of ship repair and maintenance services.

Ned Marine has relocated and rebranded its aluminium manufacturing division - formerly known as MTQ Products - to a new production facility at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam in the Botlek area. Operating under its new name, Ned Marine Alucon, the facility designs and builds certified aluminium gangways, bridges, cruise window wash systems, and access structures for the maritime, offshore, and civil engineering industries.
