Alewijnse levert elektrische systeemintegratie aan Windcat
Alewijnse has signed a contract with Damen Shipyards Group for the electrical system integration of the Multi-Purpose Accommodation Support Vessel (MP-ASV) 10020. The vessel is the first in the Innovation Series, a new class of offshore support vessels developed for Windcat. With accommodation capacity for 190 personnel, the vessel can support up to 28 days of continuous offshore operations without the need for intermediate resupply or port calls.
Zamil Offshore Partners with Conoship for Ultra Shallow-Draft Dive Support Vessel
Offshore operations in shallow waters often create operational trade-offs for vessel owners. Subsea infrastructure maintenance demands heavy-duty mission equipment, including Dynamic Positioning (DP2), integrated diving systems, deck cranes, and compliance with the Special Purpose Ships (SPS) Code. Existing vessels commonly feature drafts that restrict them from accessing shallow water. To address this operational constraint in the Gulf Region, Zamil Offshore contracted Conoship International to design a cost-effective Dive Support Vessel (DSV) with a shallow draft of 2.5-meter without sacrificing operational capabilities and fuel efficiency. Met ingang van 11 oktober wordt Dr. Raid Al Rubaiey benoemd tot CEO van SOHAR Port and Freezone. SOHAR Port and Freezone is een gemeenschappelijke onderneming van Havenbedrijf Rotterdam N.V. en het Sultanaat Oman (ASYAD Group). Hij volgt daarmee Emile Hoogsteden op, die de functie ruim vier jaar heeft vervuld.
646 ton wegende ‘Batavia’ succesvol verplaatst naar wal in Lelystad met 56-assige SPMT
Wooden sailing vessel Batavia was successfully transported to and installed at its final resting place in Lelystad on Oct 2nd. The 1995-delivered, full-scale reconstruction of the 1628 Dutch East India Company ship had been prepared for its final voyage at Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam. It was transported on a specially built cradle, placed on a pontoon, and driven ashore at Museum Batavialand, Lelystad. Two SPMT trains of 28 axle lines each took the 646-tonne wooden ship and her 101.2-tonne cradle off a pontoon, up a purpose-built ramp, across the Markermeer dike and 250 metres onto the grounds of Museum Batavialand. The next day, the jacking system lowered her onto her permanent concrete foundation.
Siemens Energy kiest EST-Floattech voor batterijsysteem CSOV Marco Polo Marine
Siemens Energy has contracted EST-Floattech to supply the battery system for a ‘CSOV Plus’, a new Commissioning Service Operation Vessel for Marco Polo Marine that it is building at its own shipyard in Batam, Indonesia. Siemens Energy acts as system integrator for the vessel's hybrid power plant. EST-Floattech will deliver a package of Octopus HE modules with a capacity of more than 1 MWh, supporting the vessel's hybrid and dynamic positioning (DP) operations. This is EST-Floattech's first project in Singapore and Taiwan.
