Korea en Nederland tekenen contract voor samenwerking
Tijdens de Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition (OWSC) in Yeosu, Korea hebben Korea Wind Energy Industry Association (KWEIA) en Maritime & Offshore NL een samenwerkingsovereenkomst getekend.
First wind turbine installed at most ecologically advanced offshore wind farm to date
Ecowende, the offshore wind farm project of Shell, Eneco and Chubu, last Saturday installed its first wind turbine, approximately 53 kilometres off the coast of IJmuiden. The installation was carried out by Van Oord using the advanced offshore installation vessel Boreas. It marks a historic milestone in the energy transition: a wind farm that sets a new ecological benchmark for offshore wind development in the North Sea.

Ship design does not work the way a car is designed, and the software that manages it should not pretend otherwise. A vessel carries functional systems, spatial zones, manufacturing blocks, and project structures that all describe the same physical object from different angles. Generic product lifecycle management tools, which were designed primarily for automotive and discrete manufacturing, struggle to hold that com-plexity together. This results in data scattered across systems, manual approvals, and teams duplicating work that was already done somewhere else.

The Advisory Board of N-Sea Group announces that Martin Adler has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer, effective 15 June 2026. He is succeeded by Pim Nelemans, formerly Chief Operating Officer, who has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of N-Sea.

Overeenkomst voor ontwikkeling 38 hectare Rotterdam Food Hub
Havenbedrijf Rotterdam, Necron Group en PTP Group ontwikkelen in de Europoort 38 hectare logistieke infrastructuur voor de opslag en overslag van gekoelde en bevroren agrofoodstromen, waaronder een nieuwe kademuur, verschillende warehouses en terminalfaciliteiten. De ontwikkeling omvat tevens een eigen energievoorziening. Hiervoor hebben de partijen de overeenkomst tot uitgifte getekend. Met deze uitbreiding versterkt Rotterdam zijn rol als Europese toegangspoort voor deze ladingsstromen.
