Heesen is delighted to announce the sale of YN 20555, 55-metre Steel FDHF, the first in the restyled series. Arcon Yachts Monaco introduced the client, an experienced yachtsman who appreciated the muscular exterior lines, the generous enclosed volume of 760GT, the proven design platform and reliable performance. “This is the second yacht in the 55-metre steel series sold by Arcon, which is an astounding achievement!” comments Heesen CCO Friso Visser. “The 55-metre steel series is proving to be a remarkably successful yacht - it is big enough to accommodate the luxury expected of a superyacht, and yet small enough to access the more intimate Mediterranean ports. Guests can feel at home during long passages, but also in exclusive places such as Portofino or St. Tropez. We are delighted that such an experienced client appreciated the many qualities of this yacht at first sight!” Project Serena is the seventh in this successful lineage, but sports some interesting new features that set her apart from her sister ships. A larger expanse of floor-to-ceiling glass, without mullions, in the main saloon and sky lounge, gives a slightly more aggressive look to the profile, thanks to continuous sheets of tinted glass. The horizontal lines stretch the optical length and balance the air draft. The result is stunning: Frank Laupman managed to retain the family look and feel, whilst giving it an elegant and refreshing touch. The design includes a French balcony in the owners’ apartment on the main deck forward, a truly unique feature that fundamentally changes the space. Other enhancements include less formal layouts for the outdoor areas that focus on alfresco dining, additional stairways for more fluid circulation, and an extended sun deck layout for additional floor space. Luca Dini Design and Architecture have worked closely with Omega’s team and Heesen’s engineers to optimise the internal layout, make the most out of the 760 GT and enhance the floor-to-ceiling windows. Luca Dini and his team will work on further personalising the interior design to incorporate the owners’ lifestyle and taste. Like her fore sisters, Project Serena’s beauty lies also below the waterline. The ultra-efficient FDHF devised by van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen’s in-house specialists will deliver reduced fuel consumption and supreme comfort in rough waters. Two MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III of 1000 kW each will deliver a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4.500 nautical miles at 13 knots. Project Serena will be delivered in Fall 2024, just in time for the winter season in the Caribbean.
