Since Conoship was founded in 1952 we built up a solid knowledge and experience in ship design. Conoship is an independent company, specialized in the development of customized ship designs. Our trademark is a personal, flexible and hands-on approach to meeting our customer’s requirements in the best way possible.Conoship is at the forefront of innovative ship design. This unique position is obtained by participating in numerous research and feasibility projects, but not in the last place by constantly trying to improve and optimize our designs in cooperation with our clients. Our services include, but are not limited to: conceptual ship design, basic ship design, class approval design, conversion design, market studies, ship design project management, shipbuilding project management and feasibility studies.We aim to optimise the profitability of a ship by maximizing the deadweight, minimizing the fuel consumption or by developing trendsetting concepts through implementation of practical innovations in the field of subdivision, stability, seakeeping and propulsion. Conoship established a worldwide reputation as the specialist in designing Short Sea (Cargo) Ships, but has also built up a strong track record in all kinds of other ship types, such as ships designed for offshore operations and dredgers.
