- Members: € 1.960,-
- Non-members € 2.465,-
Date and location
The 23rd & 24 th of September and the 28th of Oktober 2025 from 09.00 – 17.00 hours.
Day 1 and 3: Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT) – Boompjes 40 in Rotterdam.
Day 2: Simwave – Pesatastraat 7 – 9 in Barendrecht.
Aim
Main topics of this training include an overview of all relevant aspects of fluid distribution system design:
- functions
- systems
- components
- layout of systems
- pump and pipe flow system characteristics and their interaction.
- cost implications of design choices (cost effective system design)
The training consists of lectures and practical exercises. The exercises will be done on the second day at the machinery systems simulator of Simwave in Barendrecht.

Marine Propulsion: Propulsion Plant Concepts and Basic Ship Hydrodynamics (module 1)
Marine Propulsion: Electrical Drives Characteristics (module 4)
The training series Marine Propulsion Systems is a unique technical and international oriented series of training modules. It is developed for those who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of the design of different marine propulsion systems. When you have completed the module ‘Electrical Drive Characteristics’, you will be able to decide which type of electrical drive component and/or system will be suited best for a particular vessel design. The theory is practiced by means of exercises.
Training Marine Propulsion: Marine Internal Combustion Engines, (sustainable) fuels & emissions (module 2)
