Our motto: a ship must sail!From detailed 3-D designs, supported with state of the art whirling and alignment software, Maprom supplies propeller shafts, stern tubes, seals from 85 mm up to 1050 mm shaft diameters, lowest friction (fuel saving!) water lubricated bearing systems for whatever applications, lub water dirt separators and other shaft components either as single parts, complete do-it yourselves packages, or turn-key deliveries.Maprom Forward GS seal maintenance is possible without cost for dry docking. All our rotating equipment is designed to have lowest friction (wear) thus long life time (operational cost) and fuel cost savings.As one of the examples, this was proven during the dry-docking of the in 1981-built push boat Veerhaven V in March 2013, originally installed NCB hard coated shaft liners and rubber bearings showed half life time bearing system clearances after more than 235,000 running hours (32 years) at un-interrupted service of the push boat.
