Objective (& content)
During this technical course you will learn more about the principles of onboard noise and vibration and how to attenuate their effects through a hands on approach. The training covers four main topics:
• Shipboard noise control
• Shipboard vibration
• Basic principles of dynamics, vibration and shock
• Hydrodynamic excitation forces
Upon completion, participants will have a solid grasp of the underlying principles of noise and vibrations onboard ships and will be able to relate design calculations, onboard measurements, and experiments to industry standards.

Marine Propulsion: Propulsion Plant Concepts and Basic Ship Hydrodynamics (module 1)
Marine Propulsion: Electrical Drives Characteristics (module 4)
The training series Marine Propulsion Systems is a unique technical and international oriented series of training modules. It is developed for those who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of the design of different marine propulsion systems. When you have completed the module ‘Electrical Drive Characteristics’, you will be able to decide which type of electrical drive component and/or system will be suited best for a particular vessel design. The theory is practiced by means of exercises.
Training Marine Propulsion: Marine Internal Combustion Engines, (sustainable) fuels & emissions (module 2)
